Codgers Zambezi House is a basic self-catering Zambezi River option, please note that we have kept the integrity of Codgers being a genuine “colonial” bush home. It is not a boutique South African type self-catering offering.
The pontoon is an “all round Zambezi boating option”, it is not a highly maneuverable speedboat that is equipped to get to different fishing areas quickly. It is built and used for: Fishing, game viewing, sundowners/sun rises and can take up to 8 guests in comfort. If you want a conventional speedboat, we can arrange one for you at additional cost, please enquire with us prior to departure.
Guests are advised that it is NOT permissible to self-drive on any of the dirt roads in and around Codgers for game viewing purposes. These roads are monitored by Zimbabwe National Parks and action will be taken by them. Game drives are available at the lodge next door to Codgers, please enquire and settle directly.
Where is Codgers Zambezi House?
Codgers Zambezi House is right on the mighty Zambezi River and has the added attraction of being inside the Zambezi National Park, Zimbabwe. The house is located in secluded bush just downstream from the Chobe/Zambezi confluence, the fishing is known to be excellent in these waters.
Self-drive clients driving through Botswana will find it easy to get to as it is situated close to the Zimbabwe/Botswana road border which is approx. 15mins outside of the town of Kasane (Botswana). There is also a new bridge (under construction) that will span the Zambezi joining Zambia and Botswana to allow easy access for our Zambian clients to cross over and enjoy this unique part of the river. The house is 81kms from Victoria Falls Town on the Kasane road.
